Watch that winter wheat window

The window is starting to open for Prairie farmers to put in winter cereal crops, but a healthy stand will need Mother Nature’s co-operation before, during and after that key seeding period.

Obviously, the weather will need to allow for fall harvest work to be done, thus opening up your fields for fall seeding — ideally, directly into standing stubble, preferably into stubble from crops such as canola, peas or mustard. LEARN MORE
